Buying a classic car

Hey scotty
I live in iran and i want to buy an american car and i'm looking for reliability.
My affordable options that i can get parts for easier than others are:
77-79 chevy impala
Third generation caprice (mostly 84-90)
Fourth generation chevy nova (chevrolet iran)
Third generation buick skylark (buick iran)
63-74 jeep wagoneer (jeep simorgh and jeep ahoo)
the first generation cadillac seville (Cadillac iran)
And the chevy blazer k5
But everyone is saying that the cadillac is a money pit and a pain to maintain and the blazer is a giant gas hog much worse than the other ones.
I know you don't like GM products but these are the ones i can buy.
What do you suggest?
Which one should I get?
Any specific engine or transmission to look for?

I assume this does not count as a classic car?

This looks beautiful in my opinion:

?auto=format&fit=crop&ar=16%3A9

1960 cadillac deville

I am not from that era but Scotty said that back then Cadillac was the bees knees the defined definition of quality now adays they are junk but the old ones look very very nice.

I would go with a fourth gen nova with the 327 but thats just my opinion.

Novas here were made with 250 I6 engines, but some people changed the engine or imported some. 327 engines are kinda rare here.

A 1977-1979 Impala would be my choice. Those were quite good cars. Not sure of parts availability in your part of the world, but they sold a huge number of them here and there's no problem getting parts and service in the U.S. or Canada. GM had its problems back then but they were not the junk that they are today.

Thanks.
