Buying a long term vehicle

Hey Scotty, I'm 19 and looking to buy a station wagon in New Zealand that I intend on keeping for the long term (10-20 years). What are your thoughts on a manual transmission 2007 Ford Mondeo (Or in the US is I believe a Ford Fusion)? Thanks.

Kind regards

That's a 14 year old car, not sure if it's something I'd pick for a long term car that is a daily driver (10 years+). But they were made relatively well, volvo had a hand in it.

Not bad vehicles but if you want a long term vehicle I would go with something newer.

Toyota Matrix (maybe the Auris in NZ)?  The Mondeo was decent but its nearing 15 years of age so there is no way you would get more than (if) 10 years out of it.

I would save a bit more money and get something newer, no more than 10 years old.
