Hello Scotty, This is Hasan and I’m from Bahrain, I’m interested in buying a used Camaro imported from US with 95K miles on it and 14,500$ as price tag. What is your suggestions. What are the things I should be looking for before buying this car ?

Well the problem is you have to have it checked out before you even thought about buying it because guys generally rag the heck out of those things and it could be all worn out if you cannot have it checked by an honest mechanic I wouldn't even think about buying it.

Use the 3 C's: Condition, condition, condition. Let the vehicle speak for itself, do a complete check-out of the vehicle ! Be objective, record all observations and faults.

If at all possible, get historical maintenance data, number of owners, previous usage, smog status, registration and title status.

And remember, it's just a machine ! It's not a saint, it's not a sinner, it's just a machine !

And machines need maintenance, machines have issues that can be fixed, but is it economically worth it ??

Dude, if you do end up buying it, put aluminum Fel-Pro intake manifold gaskets in it. That's the one problem I've ever really encountered with that engine, had to do those on both my cars after the plastic factory ones went bad. Save yourself the hassle and prolong the life of your engine, if you do end up buying it.
