Finally got around to getting a car after years of putting it off way too long, and was hopping to get your perspective on some that I was looking at before I set up appointment with mechanic to look at them, such as reliability and availability of parts etc.

1989 Lincoln town car $2.8k, 236000km, private owner, already safetied, radio doesn't work

1965 Mercury Comet $5.5k, 44686km, private owner, has rust hole at back right of trunk

1983 chrysler new yorker fifth avenue, $5.5k  64500km, private seller

2005 mercury grand marquis $4.5k, 230000km, private seller

I'd say the Grand Marquis out of those if a mechanic says it's in good condition, though really an old Corolla or Civic would be a better first car.

2005 mercury grand marquis $4.5k, 230000km, private seller, is probably your best bet.  The other ones seem way too old.
