A dealer should most definitely allow you to get a mechanic to inspect the car before purchase. Otherwise walk away.
Always look for an independent mechanic with no ties to the seller.
Of course I have to let you take it to a mechanic even if one other salesman has to ride along if they don't look elsewhere and realize you always pay too much money at a dealer anyway best defined from regular people selling their own
