Camaro 4 cylinder

I'm a fan of the Camaro styling, wondering if you are still against the 4 cylinder models. Retiring in a few years. I'm not a racer and would prefer the gas savings. But I believe you said the engines might not last long in a 4 cylinder. Should I stay away from a Camaro 4 cylinder??? Thank you very much.

Is that the 2.7L (?) turbo 4?

No. Those engines were used in GM trucks and the Cadillac CT4. The 4-cylinder engine used in the new Camaro is an EcoTec 2.0 I4 turbocharged.

Welcome new member.  Is that the 2.7L (?) turbo 4?  I could be wrong, but I think that’s the same motor they are putting in the new Colorado and base model Silverado.  It’s a pretty good engine but extremely maintenance dependent.  If you are willing to keep up with aggressive care and feeding, it could be ok.
