Scotty, I have a chance to buy a 2005 Camry with 31,000 original miles. The car was well taken care of and is in unusually good shape. Is $8900 too much for it ?
Although the mileage is low, but it is a 17 years old car and I don't think it worth that much money.
Yes. If the car checks out as good by a mechanic, offer them $5k.
It all depends on supply and demand. Do a search in your area on autotrader - but what you see there are dealer cars, and you should pay considerably less than that from and individual (and frankly, you would have paid a lot less in 2019)
Here's one based where I live https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/cars-under-9000
If it checks out from a mechanic, I would offer them less. I don't think it's worth that much despite the inflation we have right now.
