The cam position sensor and the crankshaft position sensor are two different things.  The cam position sensor is available at any auto parts store for around $25.  It's located on the right front (passenger) side of the engine and should take about 1/2 hour to replace.  For $700 you are getting ripped off.

The OEM Mando sensor is around $40-50 (check if yours is the 4cyl or V6)
