Scotty you talk about doing a road tour would you consider coming up to Halifax in Nova Scotia! Would be nice to do a winter episode and look at some 4WD vehicles.

I would like to see what the vehicles are like up in Canada due to all of the snow you get up there.

Here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada it snows a lot in the winter and it gets pretty cold. Cars here do have the tendency to rust but at the same time for buying new cars we do have different packaging options compared to the USA including getting AWD as standard and Canadians do buy more manual transmissions cars than Americans.

where did you read about the manual transmission?

This one

Also as far as I know some cars like a brand new Sentra have a manual option on the base and top trims in Canada and are not available in the states.

if that's your information source then, then you're just making things up.
The article clearly states: "It depends on the model", and only "for some cars offered with three pedals". (they're talking about one Mazda model, and some obscure Toyota)

In fact, for the population of Canada, the article states the exact OPPOSITE of what you said: " the numbers across all models point to a relatively low take-rate for modern manual transmissions, which means an increasing number of vehicles – even sports cars – aren’t being offered with them."

If you're a University student, then you seriously need to work on your reading comprehension.
