I have a 2010 Mazda CX-9 with 70,900 miles. I hear a clicking sound when shifting the car from Park to Reverse or Park to Drive. I'm not sure if it's a transmission issue since I Changed the transmission fluid last month. I've been search forums have been seeing that it can be an engine mount, Transmission mount or a CV joint. I'm trying to fix the issue myself unless it's a transmission issue then I have no choice but to take it to a transmission shop. Thank you in advance for you help and advise

Could be a CV joint check for vibrations, grease on wheel, and/or loud sounds when turning. It could be a bad/loose transmission or motor mount or it could be an issue with the transmission itself mind recording a video to get a better description on the sound.

Edit: Actually it could even be something with the brakes.

Thank you I will look into it and try to upload a video. I will keep you updated.

Ok sounds like a good idea (sorry for the late reply have been quite busy).

If you only hear the sound while shifting into gear then that's 90% an engine/tranny mount. Check those 1st.
