Hey I have a question I just had white smoke come from my steering column and all the light and gauges on my car don’t work now. any ideas? It’s a 2009 Nissan Altima

You're going to have to take apart the steering column (at least take the wheel off) to see what's going on in there. Sounds like a short circuit let the smoke out of some components in there. Also check fuses and fusible links.
Also car wont go faster than 10 mph
If that started happening concurrent with the electrical problems the short may have damaged computer modules.
