I am 55years old, 6ft. 4inches and I drive a SUV 65miles one way to work. Trying to find a smaller size car/vehicle that will save me money on gas & not KILL my back. Do you have any recommendations for tall people fitting into a car for the long haul? Appreciate your help with this. Your the GREATEST.

I'm 6'8". The best car I've ever owned for a long commute was a Lexus LS460. Super comfortable and rode like a dream.

Would highly recommend.

Have you thought of the Honda Fit? It is on a completly different league than the Lexus modman mentioned but for a small car, it is extremly practical. It has more headroom than the Odyssey minivan. It also has 41.5 inches of frontal legroom. If you want to go full on boxy, the Scion XB has great reliability and amazing headroom, but that can not be said about its driving dynamics. If you want comfortable, I would usually say Camry but it could be a bit small in headroom.  I would consider the Lexus line-up. I don't know how spacious every model is to YOU so I would test out vehicles like the ES IS and GS.
