Hello scott,
I recently bought ford escort 1995. I know the previous owner and I bought it with trust that it is a good car for $850. Yesterday, I went to gas station to fill the gas and tank started overflowing, what might be the reason?

You have a blockage in the the gas filler

The previous owner added all these fuel saving devices. 10% here and 10% there. Pretty soon your over 100%. Then as you drive you have to periodically empty out the excess fuel your making. {black}:smile:
Seriously the fuel tank vapor return line or charcoal canister could be leaking. It's generally in the filler neck of the tank. If it's broken off and you top off the tank once it reaches the nipple for the TVR fuel pours out.
