Hey scotty i got a 2003 nissan xterra with 150,000 miles its also a5 speed manual transmission. i have 3 problems with that car the first problem is every time i start the car it makes a screeching noise i changed all the belts and i tightend the serpentine belt. My next problem is when i drive down my driveway right when i reach the bottom it makes a clank or a noise in the front. My last problem is my one of my windsheld washer nozzle wont spray all the way i tried to spray it on my window but i squirted on my hood i tried sticking a toothpick in there to see if there was any build up in there but it didnt work please let me know what i can do to fix these problems thanks!
Forget toothpicks get a skinny little needle and spray it and try to put some air pressure blowing through it to clean the crud out
Now you changed the belts but if it's still squeals then either the tensioner isn't tight enough and needs replacing or one of the bearings is starting to go in the alternator or water pump. As for the clunking noise look for Warren parts in the front end like ball joints tie rods and even strut mounts
