Topic starter

please are they any other reliable car options apart from toyota and Honda, they all seem way over priced right now. Just saw a corrolla 2006 with 200k miles for 6k, 🤣🤣

It'd be my first car so not going for anything super fancy.

Thank you in advance for the replies.

Thank you very much for the replies, I'm a new driver and actually don't know how to drive a stick shift.

Scotty made a video about manual Jetta with turbo diesel. Look if you can find one.

A Subaru with manual transmission built after their head gasket problems were fixed could be OK. (Those would be engines with timing chains rather than belts, starting around 2011.) Main thing to avoid is the "H-6" six-cylinder engines, those are money pits.

If a newish model, look at Mazdas. If old, look at Nissans from the early 2000s.

But what are all your available options, near you?

A brand new Chevy spark is only 14000 and it also comes with a standard transmission which are the eastest things to maintain

I wouldn't buy any new Chevy products. Especially the Spark because it's more like a golf car than a real car. The thing has practically 0 HP.
