I have an 2018 Honda Civic EXT with 20,000 miles. Today, I had a 4 tire replacement and since Ive noticed a lot of pulling. I’ve also had a 4 wheel alignment. What in your opinion could be causing it to pull?
Thanks!!
The simplest reason cause be old, worn out tyres.
The most complex reason could be accidental damage to the front end affecting the factory suspension geometry.
Did the alignment fix the pulling?
The tires are brand new. Alignment didn’t fix it
Either the technician had no idea what they were doing, or something in your front end is worn/damaged. Were the old tyres wearing evenly? Any recent accidents or curb hits? Unfortunately, you’ll have to now find a reputed front end shop and have them diagnose what’s really going on.
A stuck caliper, causing the brakes on one side to clamp a bit could be it. I would think they would have noticed that when they did the alignment though, unless, well, they caused it.
If that is it, you will eat up a brake pad pretty soon, I had it happen to my prius once. As a coincidence, mine happened just after I had some work done, it was either an alignment, or new tires.
I’ve had alignment done. In fact, I’ve had 2 alignments done within the last 2 months. I still fill it pull a lot. Could damaged or worn cv axles cause it? Or problems with wheel bearing assembly or ball joints?
Is there any play in the front wheels at 12 & 6 or 9 & 3? Or both? Any vibration in the steering wheel at high speeds?
