Hi my son was trying to change his car Stereo in his 2015 Toyota Corolla and being new with cars he must have stripped his bolt it keeps spinning and won’t come out what can he do to get it out in such a small space to work with? Thank you!

Photo? There are a lot of bolts in a car.

The bolts that hold the stereo 😁

A photo showing the actual bolt location and the working space available would be helpful nonetheless.

Yeah it would be helpful but I had him put the dash back on to plug his battery back in to get to work today sorry basically it’s the 4 bolts that hold the stereo in the one bold towards the steering wheel is the one that is keep spinning if that’s any help with location.

He's having a problem with one of these two 10mm bolts/screws.

The top one screws into a metal clip. The bottom one screws into a more substantial metal bracket.

Maybe try a small vise grip. Clamp onto the head of that 10mm bolt as you pull towards you turning it counterclockwise.

The threads on those bolts are very shallow so you shouldn't have any problem

Excellent - the vise grips are my favored approach in that situation if there's room for them and looks like that's the case here.

Thank you all very much I will have him try that.
