The problem may be that your transmission is shot. Does it have enough fluid? When is the last time it was serviced (fluid and filter change)? What is the current condition of the transmission fluid?
many 2 years already we did not service the transmission fluid.
You didn’t mention if you have the 1st Gen TC auto or the 2nd Gen CVT.
In either case, you’ll have to start having the vehicle scanned for any transmission related codes or find a transmission specialist in your area to diagnose the issue.
Have you verified that the transmission fluid is at the correct level and regularly serviced?

The 1st Generation of this vehicle from 2002-2007 had a 4 speed torque converter automatic. The 2nd Generation from 2007-2016 had a CVT automatic.
