Hello. I love your videos. It’s helping me learn a lot about cars! I currently drive a 2006 Honda Accord Lx with a 2.4L engine. I currently have two 12in duel subwoofers. Recently, I have had to replace the battery because I have had all kinds of electrical problems. Should I also replace or upgrade the alternator ? Again thank you!
How big of an amp are you running?
A quality setup should be able to push two 12's easily unless you have a mega amp involved.
If your regular battery isn't cutting it, swap to an Optima Yellow Top. Those are designed for starting power with accessories in mind.
But for two 12's, it shouldn't be necessary. I'd double check my wiring and also check for parasitic drain on the battery.
I’m just now seeing this. Thank you so much for replying! I’m running an 800 watt amp. All of my wiring is in order though but I have upgrading my battery recently to a super start platinum.
