  1. Before I bought my car the car fax said that it was in a small wreck not salvaged, frame is not bent and the hood was replaced as well as some sort of silicone type stuff on the engine bay possibly covering a crack. Should I be worried? And also my caliper guide pin is really hard to move back and forth should I replace the caliper bracket or just the slide pins.

As Scotty has said, many times, Carfax is an incomplete guide, since its information sources are not complete.

If you haven't had it done yet, have a good independent diagnostic mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection.

As for the calipers, remanufactured calipers are cheap. If the slide pin is difficult to remove, the slide pin may well be entirely out of lubricant OR perhaps the pin and/or caliper is bent.
