Car will start with Starting Fluid then stops Acura 2001 CL

Hi Scotty Kilmer Group, I have a 2001 Acura CL V6 3.2 with about 190,000 miles and I can get the car to run for a few seconds by spraying starting fluid in the carburetor then it stops. I had a knock sensor code and I found that the wire was chewed off by a rat or mouse. I watched a youtube video on how to take the engine down to get to the knock senor. I got the new wire harness with both attachments from the Acura dealer for $9.00 and I put the new wire in and figured the car would start when I put it all back together. It did not. I rechecked I put everything back and attached everything and it looks good, the car will crank but not start but if I spray starting fluid, it will start and run for a second then stop. When I had the "Beehive" part off and the fuel injectors out on the one side I noticed they were not very clean looking. I wiped them off and put them back when I put all the parts back together. The car last year had the fuel pump replaced, I checked the big fuse relay under the dash and put a new one in but it did not make any difference in starting the car. I used my car reader INNOVA 5300Lat to read the computer of the car and no specific code came up, this it what it said "Emissions Related Engine DTCs No Power train DTCs or Freeze frame data is presently stored in the vehicles computer. The car has gas plenty of gas in the tank. I'm hoping you might have some ideas to help me.

Thank you,

Your car doesn't have a carburetor.

With an OEM Acura pump or a cheap Chinese aftermarket pump?

Put a fuel gauge on the shader valve on the fuel rail and measure the pressure. It may not be pressurized.

Simply wiping a fuel injector off isn't going to do anything. The fuel doesn't touch the outside of the injectors. It flows through them. The tiny screens at the end may be blocked.

If the car won't run and the computer has no diagnostics stored, this is typically a sign of a bad fuel pump, but not always. Older cars don't have sensors for fuel pressure.

Did you change your fuel filter? If you have an inline filter, disconnect the side to the engine and let it hang over a catch can. If you turn the key and no fuel comes out of the end with a clean filter, you've pretty much zeroed it to a fuel pump issue.

You have a fuel delivery issue: Either the fuel pump does not provide enough fuel or the injectors are not working properly. Start with checking the fuel line pressure with a mechanical gauge.

The 2001 Acura 3.2L engine does not have a carburetor.  It has Honda programmed sequential fuel injection.  Like@yaser said, you have a fuel delivery problem.  If the injectors were dirty, either pressure clean or replace them.
