Hey I know that turbo puts a lot of strain and shorten the life of 4cylinders, but how about 6? I am very interested in Infiniti Q50 but I’m still wanna get 3.7 v6 but they are getting hard to find in my local area. So I was wondering are the Infiniti 3.0 turbo good and can it handle the turbo and have less wear in the long run?
Clarification: How many miles do you need the vehicle to last you?
At least 250-300k but I doubt it with turbo so at least 200k

Any turbocharger increases complexity and will at some point require additional repairs. (At the very least the turbocharger is a wear item.) It's the worst on tiny engines that also have GDI.
I have over 360K miles on my 4-cylinder turbocharged car with no issues but the previous owner had replaced the turbo just before I bought it, which was at about the 250K mile mark. The engine itself has suffered no noticeable ill effects from turbocharging, but it's a 25-year-old model that doesn't have GDI.
Yeah I really want the 3.7 but I’m not seeing a lot of them with lower miles
