Catalytic Converter Replacement for a 1999 Honda Civic

I replaced my Catalytic Converter and now it's smoking (white smoke) from the Cat.

I sprayed some WD40 on the bolts to lube them. I know that's not why it's smoking. The engine is dirty with oil since there's a minor oil leak but before I replace the Cat the engine never smoked. The smoke is coming from the Cat. Is it because it's a new Cat and it needs to run on the road a bit???

New cats and downpipes will smoke after you first put them in and it will go away after its just getting that hot and burning off any little bit a residue from building them. Nothing to worry about.
