Changing transmission fluid on high mileage car

Topic starter

Hi Scotty,    If someone incorrectly changes the transmission fluid for the first time on a high mileage car and then the transmission slips, (and they did not save the old fluid).   If they could get old transmission fluid from a wrecked car or something, wouldn’t that be close to the transmission fluid they replaced?       OR does transmission fluid age in a number of different ways ?      Thanks.    Dox

If someone incorrectly changes the transmission fluid

What does that mean? How was it changed incorrectly?

get old transmission fluid from a wrecked car

put mystery junkyard fluid in a car? That's a terrible idea.

transmission slips,

Do a CORRECT fluid change. If it still slips, then the transmission is worn out and needs to be replaced. You can try to buy yourself a bit of time with additives like Lucas trans fix.

Well you completely missed the point

I perfectly understood 2 & 3 the first time, and I answered your question. I didn't miss the point at all, and my answer still stands.

You still haven't provided the information requested in the instructions.
