Hello
A question was asked the other day in class, and the question is '' why the chassis in the car is grounded and not powered? "
I couldn't find anything online, so, any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Convention. That's it.

The question as stated doesn't seem to make much sense. Is it about why the chassis is generally negative rather than positive? (Note that there have been many positive-ground vehicles over the years.) Or is it asking why the chassis is used as one leg of most circuits?
