Chevy bolt - change driver seat

Hi. My friend have a 2019 Chevy bolt and the driver seat is very uncomfortable for him. A while ago he switch the driver seat and put in a Toyota Prius driver seat. But the car wouldn’t drive forward only backwards. Is there a way that he can switch the driver seat without affecting the drivability? He really likes the car but the seats are too small for him. Thanks.

God knows what they're doing with modern cars they're changing the seat with only make it go backwards I'm assuming some kind of electrical connection was messed up like if it has a sensor for the airbag and if the new seat doesn't or has a different sensor it won't allow it to drive. That is one weird one I've never seen

Yeah Scotty! It’s weird! And he also think that the problem is the airbag sensor. Thank you

I call b_llsh_t on that.

Anyone should know you simply eliminate the front seats like they do for basketball players and basically sit in the back seat.

You would be better off getting the BOLT reupholstered and make all the electrics that were meant to work normal as it should just for safety reasons.  Investigate that route as people lives are at stake as well as others on the road.
