Hello everyone, Thank you for helping me with this question. I am interested in buying a pick up truck for my job. I have two options: a 2002 Ford Ranger automatic v6 with 130,000 miles or a Chevy Colorado 2005 automatic 4-cylinder with 118,900 miles. I've seen Scotty's videos and I think both are good options. Which would be the best? 🙂
I want to add that both look in good condition, do not hear strange noises in the engine.
From my experience, Ford's plastics, rubber, and components outlast GM's products by a decent margin.
You didn't mention it, however I would strongly suggest having a mechanic inspect the vehicle you decide to go with before purchasing.
Hello, Thank you for your reply
forgot to mention it. My mechanic saw both units. and he considers that both vehicles are fine considering their age.
That's good, then basically it sounds like your decision will boil down to your own personal preference.
Personally, I would still stick with the Ford.
Between those two the Ford would be better.
Thank you!
I'd go Ranger
