1998 Chevy s10 why won’t it start?

Hey Scotty I have a 1998 Chevy s10 4.3l 6 cylinder 

So the dash lights up but I get no crank or start not even a clicking the only clicking i here is the fuel pump the crank fuse is also good but I have no clue why it wouldn’t start by the way it’s a standard 5 speed 4wheel drive

First day of the battery low test in a week battery will do that also loose electrical wiring on cables will do that. But if all those are okay odds are the starters just gone bad


So I bought a brand new battery an yes it was completely dead but when I put in the new battery still the same thing so next would be my starter if that’s not it would I go check the wiring because I switch out the new clutch safety switch brand new also


Also I see the alternator has black on the copper wirings that u can see would that be the second best thing if it’s not the starter
