Hello guys. I have a 2000 Camry with over 210,000 miles. I noticed the car was running choppy and a CEL had come on. I scanned it and the results showed a P0773 Shift Solenoid E Electrical code. I cleared the code, checked my tranny dipstick which was appropriately leveled, and then I decided to pop in some Lucas Transmission Fix.
Well this week I’ve noticed my car has been running even more choppy, it struggles to move into 2nd gear, can hardly move into 3rd gear, 4th gear is basically non-existent for me 🤣 (don’t know why I’m laughing my car is basically dying).
RPM needle also shoots up once you give the throttle a little pressure and shifts down quite quickly once you release pressure. I don’t believe those are very good signs especially as those movements are not commensurate with the power being given.
Please some assistance will be well appreciated. Thank you.
Well pray you just need a new solenoid it could be that if not the transmission would need a total rebuild
