Hi Scotty,
Respect to you and your channel i have learn a lot from it.
My car is Citroen C4 1,4 petrol make year is 2005. It has around 184000 Km on the clock, but its probably fake and I love driving it but i am noticing some problems. Unfortunately i do not have the codes for them.
So, the car is shaking strangely on idle, i hear a wierd noise from my left front wheel like squiking but breaks works just fine. The onboard computer is showing a depolution system error. The mechanic told me that these engines tend to mix water and oil which is never a good sign. The Climate wont blow cold air instead you can smell the exaust gas geting in when the climate is on It would be great if you could do a review of this model. Also the most important thing is i have noticed that the car is leaking oil all around the engine, its not much but you can see that its happening.
Thanks in advance and i hope you will get your hands on one of these, it has a strange designe of the cockpit but that is something you get used to it in a matter of minutes.
PS. i am from Serbia so the Europian junk usually end up here. At the moment i do not have the money to change the car
Yeah they stop selling those French cars in the United States decades ago because Americans would not accept such crappy cars. Yeah if somebody has one here I'd love to review what every once in a while some crazy person imports one to the US and then they find out not only does no one want to work on them but you can't even get parts for him
Hi,
shaking strangely on idle
Clean the throttle and check the idle speed control.
i hear a wierd noise from my left front wheel like squiking
Check the suspension, could be a bad wheel bearings or quite a few other things.
The onboard computer is showing a depolution system error (...) you can smell the exaust gas geting in when the climate is on
The OBDII code the ECU would be helpful to know the exact issue.
By the sound of things you have an exhaust leak, check the exhaust system to verify.
The mechanic told me that these engines tend to mix water and oil which is never a good sign
That's not a thing I'm aware of, but generally these engines are alright.
Just check the oil levels, perform the required maintenance, don't overheat it, etc.
It would be great if you could do a review of this model
I do not think Scotty can review a Citroen C4, as far as I'm aware no cars of the PF2 platform were ever sold in the US.
important thing is i have noticed that the car is leaking oil all around the engine
Inspect the engine and check where it's leaking from, might be something cheap and simple like a valve cover gasket.

Sadly also Japanese cars sold in Europe are worse than their JDM / US market versions.
Smaller engines, more emissions tech, unproven transmissions, etc.
