A bad MAP sensor is a common cause.

You may want to try using some mass air flow cleaner and also in the throttle body as well.

When a fuel pump begins to fail, it may struggle to consistently deliver the correct amount of the fuel to the engine. The fuel pump may dramatically increase pressure while failing, creating a jerking or surging sensation. Your vehicle may also be sluggish and struggle while driving uphill.
