Clicking right turn

Hi Scotty. My 1989 Celica with 177000 miles makes a clicking/knocking sound when I make a right turn above 30 mph. It's only when making a right turn. Left turn is totally silent. My research points me to it being a cv joint, but when I jacked up the car and spun the steering wheel to check for rips on the rubber boots, I can't find any rips or tears. Am I missing something, or is it a different problem?

The boot doesn't always tear. The joint could still be worn out inside.
