[Solved] Climate Control does not remember temperature setting

Have a 2017 Toyota Highlander Limited AWD automatic with 82,475 miles on it. The factory battery died and I replaced it. Since replacing the battery, if the Highlander sets for more than a couple of hours the climate control does not come on where it was when it was shutoff. When you start it the Auto light is green for a few seconds the screen is blank except vent arrow is pointing to the floor. If you press the auto button the screen comes on with temp setting and the AC is on. Everything works after that. Haven't run any scan on it yet but I have reset the computer by pulling both battery cables and running a jumper between them and turning on the headlights. Any insight on that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ron

Well unfortunately sometimes as vehicles age when you replace the battery just the fact of taking it out and putting in the new one can sometimes fry tiny little memory electronics like the one that leaves your setting at the same position for the HVAC system. Personally, I just leave it alone. You tried resetting it but if you can find a Toyota guy with really high level scan tool, see if he can reset anything

Thank You. We will probably just leave it until better weather. Thank you again for a quick response and your videos I enjoy watching them.
