I have a 1994 Lancruiser 80 series 1HZ diesel engine with around 115000km only. Recently the clutch pedal have been sticking when returning to the top. It only sticks at the very end of the movement.
Since both clutch master and slave is original, I have changed it with Aisin CMC and Slave Cylinder. I have also bleed it with two person method extensively. After that, it has a slight improvement but it still does stick occasionally, so I spray some silicone spray the linkages at the pedal and it is mostly gone.
Recently, I noticed that the clutch clevis pushrod bushing at the pedal is gone, so I install genuine bushing and right after that the pedal is weak to return and spongy. It now sticks more often at the end of travel more so if I press and release it slowly.
I noticed that the clevis pin at the pedal before without the bushing can move horizontally slightly. With the bushing, it can move left and right very easily and the pushrod wiggles easily. Is this normal? Or could be my clutch is thin or pressure plate is weak? Thanks!
Well, the bushing shouldn't have any play in that at all. I'd fix that first. If not that odds are you need a new clutch inside the transmission and it just doesn't popping back right? Because it's worn
