Hey Scotty good morning, I’ve got code P0455 on my Pontiac G8 GT with 64,000 miles on it. I didn’t have my scan tool on me while on vacation in Florida where my car stays but had time to take it over to AutoZone with their scan tool and that’s what came up. I ordered an OEM fuel cap to start but the code has not gone away. I am back in Connecticut now unfortunately but do you think the car will actually need a purge valve solenoid as recommended by AutoZone and is it a difficult job to replace?
It was the original gas cap from 2008 so that probably needed to be replaced anyway.
