hello i came across a 1991 toyota camry with a 2.5 L DOHC fuel injected V6,with an automatic transmission with 120k miles on it for sale. The seller is asking $1,500 for it. considering the cars Age is that a decent price for the car?
120k is nothing for a 30 year old car and those cars can last forever. Plus those 2.5 engines were indestructible. I would jump on that deal if I were you.
The car could be good but I would not pay more than $1000 assuming a mechanic says it still has a ton of life left in it. Prices also differ. For example that would go for 2-2.5k in some places like CA but 500 bucks in Houston maybe. If you are looking at it for a daily driver or something, get a newer ones like 98 99. But other than that if a mechanic says its in good shape then maybe it could be a good second car or something if you get it for a good price. I'd offer him $800 $900 bucks. Odds are he might not even let you to have a mechanic check it out, in which case you should walk away.
that is way too much money for a 3 decade old car. You can do better.
