My 92 galant uses dot 3 brake fluid, doesn’t have abs, hey Scotty I was wondering can I mix/switch from conventional to synthetic brake fluid. Same viscosity but switching from conventional to synthetic. Others are telling me it’s not recommended and others say it’s fine what’s the truth. Thanks

Look at the manual, whatever type of brake fluid it says to use that’s the one I’d go with. Use the manual before anyone or anything else.

It says dot 3 and I had autozone confirm

I’ve done it for years and had no problems. Make sure you use DOT 3 or something compatible, though. From what I understand, I think DOT 4 is compatible and DOT 5.1, BUT NOT DOT 5!

Oh ok thanks, I’m using dot 3 but I’m just switching from conventional to synthetic. For long life and protection
