i filled up the recovery tank to full line now when engine is cold does the coolant in recovery tank should it be on the add line or the full line when it is cold ?

the recovery tank on the bottom is the add mark then the hot mark top has full mark i i am worried i do not want to damage anything

It should be in the middle between full and add when coolant change is done as far as i am aware this to be true for many makes and models of vehicles, it shouldn't hurt anything, but if you put too much take a baster or syringe and remove some till the coolant is in the middle between both lines when cold. Also coolant should be at full line when engine is hot and should lower when engine is cold.

@kakarot
thanks a whole lot i finally got ahold of owners manual it said when cold it should be at the add mark or just above it i will go out there with my baster and sucks some out thanks again
