my 2012 chevy cruze has a leak at the inlet hose on the water pump. the engine is a 1.4l turbo with 116k miles with a manual transmission. the leak started out squirting coolant from the end of the hose. when i looked at the hose i saw that it had been heated to the point where the end had become soft. so what i have tried was cut the end off and use a new section of hose, and even used a new hose clamp. i have managed to slow the leak down a little but it still wants to leak. what should i do?

This is just a wild guess, but maybe install a new hose?
well i cut off the bad end of the hose and i did get the leak to slow down a bit but it does leak a little.

New hose and clean all connection points
