I have a bad coolant leak coming from the exhaust manifold where it meets up with the exhaust y pipe after doing head gaskets and before then it was doing the same? Has a bad idol to it especially with starting it have to use starter fluid to start it or gas. 1997 chevy 4.3L vortec

Did you have the heads rebuilt and checked for cracks before replacing the head gaskets?

ok back it up need the full story.
Why did you change the head gasket? Overheated?
Did get you get your warped aluminum head surfaces machined?
Did you buy a cylinder head kit and rebuild the whole thing, including all gaskets and seals?
Did you follow a service manual, making sure to follow the head bolt torquing procedure exactly? Using brand new torque-to-yield bolts?
