- I have a 2020 RAV4 with 6500 miles. I’ve noticed that whenever the weather is really hot outside I can smell coolant. It’s not leaking, oil looks fine and I’m not losing coolant. Any ideas?

They will often see check around the radiator their plastic and often the plastic is brittle and starts to seep around the seams when it's hot check that
Could a faulty radiator cap cause the smell? The car only has 6500 miles. Seems like a new Toyota shouldn’t have any major issues like this. I don’t see any recalls when I go to the NHTSA website

Bring your car to the dealer. It is still under warranty.

First, make sure that the reservoir tank is not overfilled. That can result I overflow when the coolant gets hot. Then, pressure test the cooling system. You may have a hair crack somewhere that causes leak when the engine gets hot.
