I have a 1992 Jeep wrangler I've owned since 1998. It's got 140000 miles on it. It's a manual transmission. As I was driving about two weeks ago accelerating and depressed the clutch to shift in to fourth gear it just died. The fuel pump, sending unit, filter, and tank will be a year old on 6-18-22. I replaced the battery, plug wires, coil wire, distributer cap, rotor, and coil today 6-16-22. It will run for a few seconds if I pour fuel in the intake. I tested the valve in the fuel rail while it was running off the fuel I poured in the intake and when I pressed the valve while pulling the throttle cable fuel sprayed out of the valve. What could it be? Why won't it crank?
Also its a 2.5L inline 4 cylinder engine
Check your alternator output at idle, should be around 14.5 volts. It's about the only part you haven't thrown at the problem yet.
