Crappy auto body repair

So my car got alittle dinged up and ended needing to get a whole bumper and grill. my parking brake didn't engage and I coasted 1mph into my cousin's parked 1986 gmc. It's also important to note at the time my father ended up dealing with all this as I was going to school in the morning and working all night. I had no time to deal with it my self. Now I have time saddly 8 months later but have proof.

I drive a 2019 civic si and i payed out of my pocket for this auto body work trusting my dad as he painted and worked in my grandfathers auto body shop for years painting. So when I got my new bumper nothing was aligned properly. I told my father that the job was shitty and if there was anyway to get anything aligned properly( he didn't give a shit). I have pictures with dates right after the repairs proving that the bumper wasn't aligned properly to begin with but the auto body shop (carstar trenton) denies it all even with proof my bumpers wasn't properly aligned after the repair. Is there any actions I can take to no have my car look like crap? I have pictures attached onto this post to show how crappy the alignment is. It makes no sense to be as the bumper and grill are both brand-new oem parts so how don't they align and sit uevenly. I worked extremely hard to purchase this car at 25 and I honestly don't even want the thing now bc of how crappy it looks now on top of that the car got rear-ended 3 months of having .

Additional pictures as it wouldn't allow me to post multiples

The only way to get the gaps to look right even with oem parts is usually with a little bit of massaging to the mounting points. Like if the gap between the hood is too big then unbolt the hood and try to position it in a way that makes it sit right. Same with the fenders. Sometimes you have to play with the bumper support as well. This is the part that takes the most patience because I have taken a bumper on and off like 5 or 6 times trying to get it to sit just right.

Would you say it's too late for them to be held responsible? Like I said I took pictures right after and have dates for my proof as I got my car back February 24 and my pictures are from February 25-26. The guy did not take me very seriously as a 25 year old kid with long hair and a beard.

Honestly you would probably pay more in getting a lawyer to try to put something on them then you would just taking it somewhere else that actually knew what they were doing... sorry you had a rough experience. Those civic si will go up in price though after a while so its not a bad car to keep your money in.

@cjbman
Guess who called me today! Carstar they didn't appreciate the negatives reviews I kept leaving with photos and proof of the poor alignment and they held the shop to a standard being a huge chain or auto body shops! I'm still scared of bringing my car back
