CRC QD Electronic Cleaner to clean engine bay.

Can I safely use CRC QD Electronic Cleaner to clean my engine bay? Or will it cause problems like corrosion, deterioration, discoloration, chipping, etc. to surfaces and/or sensitive parts/components ?

Read the instructions on the can.

That's not an answer. I wouldn't be asking if I hadn't read the can.

@jb87.  If you had read the can instructions, you would know it is not designed to be use as an engine cleaner.

I must admit that I don't know for certain, but considering there are purpose-made products for that sort of thing it sounds like an astonishingly bad idea.

Electronic cleaner is intended for cleaning switch contacts, connectors, commutators, motors, etc.

Like the can says .... electronics.

Yes, it is very harsh and it will damage plastics.

For the engine bay you want (surprise) an engine cleaner ...

Why are you considering using electrical spray to clean your engine bay?

In my opinion, @doc ‘s answer was perfectly suitable.
