Creaking noise front driver side

Hi!

I started hearing a creaking noise that seems to be coming from the front driver side (sounds like it’s under the steering wheel).

The noise happens when:
- I’m parked (both when the car is on or off) and I move the wheel left or right
- I’m moving, holding the wheel straight and coming to a stop (it happens right before coming to a full stop)

Any idea of what this could be?

Thanks in advance!

get a helper to turn the wheel for you while you stick your head under the car. Worn ball joints often groan like that.

Thanks!

So I went to the mechanic for another issue and they put the car on the lift and checked for play by moving the wheels. They said “it’s safe, everything is tight, likely something to do with your links”

Took some videos and seems like the sound is not coming from the lower ball joint but around the top of the suspension area.

Any idea what it could be or how to better isolate the issue?

Here’s some videos.
