2007 accord v6 manual 167k
I have this cricket sound that stops with a very slight press on the clutch. I read that greasing the pivot/fork would help, but i have put honda urea grease in there and it has seemed to have no effect. The cricket sound is almost always there, but stops completely with a tiny push of the pedal. It also either stops or changes in sound whenever I hit the gas, depending on how hard I hit the gas.
Everything listed is new within the last year
Clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout, pilot, flywheel, clutch hydraulic hoses, master(twice) and slave.
The cricket sound persists. Any ideas?
Deffective throwout bearing.
Just because it's new, doesn't mean it's good. I've replaced several cricket sounding throw out bearings that were "new".
Thanks, this is what I feared. Luckily, it's under warranty. Could the throw out also be why the pedal feels rough intermittent ly?
