CVT fluid change

I have a 2015 Jeep Patriot with 121,000 miles and had the cvt flushed at around 21,000. The manual says to change the fluid at 120,000. In your opinion, is it still safe to change the fluid and filter as the manual says. I have no problems with the transmission currently.

As you are probably aware, unlike a conventional automatic trans a CVT does not have bands or clutches with friction material that wears out with poor maintenance. Therefore you can change fluid at any time.

However frequent changes are required to get the best life out of them. The manual claiming it should only be done at 120K miles is nonsense. (In the case of Jeep, lousy Jatco CVTs are used and at 120,000 miles it is likely near the end of its service life.)
