Love your channel, I recently purchased a jeep 2016 compass latitude and the tranny is jumping. I brought it back to dealer 3 times and they told me this is what it does, no problem. I spoke to AMCO transmission and they wanted $180.00 to do a diagnostic. I have a protection plan, should I get it checked or am I wasting my time?? I was a licensed mechanic for GM dealer for 18 years, thinking of being a moderator.

Does the dealer mean that all the Jeep Compass cars do that? either the new ones?
Stay away from AAMCO. They have a really bad reputation as ripoff artists. You might try getting an opinion from a different dealer, or a reputable local shop if there is one near you familiar with that vehicle. The dealer you went to might just not want to get involved with it, especially if a 3rd-party warranty company is involved since so many of those are fly-by-night outfits.
