dark thin liquid on spark plug

so i was changing my spark plugs on my 2013 buick verano, 211,650 miles. and on the spark plugs there was like a dark thin water? driping off the old spark plugs when i took them out. all the old spark plugs were dripping. what could that be? oil? whats the problem? im getting 45 miles to the gallon currently.

the part of the spark plug that goes in the engine, has dirty water leaking off it. i seen a little in the engine when i looked tho the spark plug hole. i dont think it smelled like gas

Better pray it is gas. The only way water could get on the plug that way or inside the cylinders is if you have a leaking head gasket or cracked cylinder head.


i have never seen someone taking off a wet spark plug,

Assuming you're talking about the outside of the spark plugs you likely have a leaky valve cover gasket.
