What would be the best model and year, from Toyota and Honda for herΒ

Budget and type desired? Makes a lot of difference if you have $50k and want an SUV or if you have $5k and want a sports car. No psychics are currently online, unfortunately.

Get a used Camry for her. Both Toyota and Honda are reliable. But Toyota's reliability is more consistant.

Seeing the current market, your choices may be restricted to what’s available in your area.

As a general rule of thumb for new drivers, stick to a Corolla/Civic, Camry/Accord or RAV4/CR-V.Β

Which cars has your daughter already test driven & which body style does she prefer?

All the best!

Good choices would be: Camry, Accord, Civic, and Corolla.

Something with very large bumpers.

Anything cheap!

Probably wreck it anyway!

And for gosh sake, teach her how to change a flat tire!

What @mittegag says, plus, from my own experience, get her a AAA membership, and make her pay her own insurance - so tickets have consequences for HER.

Make her pay for the AAA too!

Maybe a Sienna, they sell for crazy cheap on the used market because nobody wants them after the kids are grown up. They are reliable, and should be extra safe when she wrecks it, I mean if she wrecks it...

I suggest making her pay something for it, even if $500 so if she totals it, it will hurt more. Let her know ahead of time that if she wrecks it, You may or may not help her get another, but it will be older, and cost her more. 🤣Β
